Year 6 Swimmers
Please see below our swimming statistics for our year six cohort of pupils. As many pupils have a range of Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities many of our pupils swimming proficiency statistics will not meet the suggested requirement.
2023-2024 Year 6 Swimmers
In the academic year 2023/2024- six pupils, in year six of which,
- None can swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
- 4 pupils can use a range of strokes effectively
- No pupils can perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.
Of these six pupils;
- 2 Learners accessed the school hydrotherapy pool due to their complex medical needs,
- 4 Learners accessed swimming lessons.
- 2 Learners accessed community swimming sessions at the local leisure centre,
2022/2023 Year 6 Swimmers
In the academic year 2022/2023 sisxteen pupils in year six, of which;
- None can swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
- 4 pupils can use a range of strokes effectively
- No pupils can perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.
Of these nine pupils;
- 4 Learners accessed the school hydrotherapy pool due to their complex medical needs,
- 10 Learners accessed swimming lessons.
- 2 Learners accessed community swimming sessions at the local leisure centre,
2021/2022 Year 6 Swimmers
In the academic year 2021/2022 the twelve pupils in year six, of which;
- None can swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
- 1 pupils can use a range of strokes effectively
- No pupils can perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.
Of these nine pupils;
- 2 Learners accessed the school hydrotherapy pool due to their complex medical needs,
- 8 Learners accessed swimming lessons.
- 2 Learners accessed community swimming sessions at the local leisure centre,
2019/2020 Year 6 Swimmers
In the academic year 2019/2020 the nine pupils in year six, of which;
- None can swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
- No pupils can use a range of strokes effectively
- No pupils can perform safe self-rescue in different water based situations.
Of these nine pupils;
- 1 Learner accessed the school hydrotherapy pool due to their complex medical needs,
- 5 Learners accessed swimming lessons for a term at a local holiday park,
- 3 Learners accessed community swimming sessions at the local leisure centre,
